If you’ve been following Apple’s WWDC then you already know they have been predictable at releasing the details for the new iPhone since the original one in 2007. Today Apple announced the iPhone 3GS which includes a 3.0 megapixel camera with auto focus, video recording and editing suite, voice control, MMS, digital compass, faster processor, and more hard disk space.
So why do I like the iPhone so much? Two main reasons… first.. you can buy my music on it.. second.. i can sell my music on it. Imagine being at a show with free wifi access… forget the burden of carrying CD’s.. now if you hear something you like.. you can download it right away. Apple is also installing a system for car stereos to allow you to purchase anything you hear on the radio with one click. Now that’s smart.
Personally, I can’t live without it.. it does everything I need it for.. and does it perfectly. I can even test out beats on it before taking it to the studio (try doing that on a berry)…
Soon.. in places like Shanghai, you will be able to even use it as a credit card just as they do in Tokyo with a special SIM card that should be available soon (link here). This thing is like the Star Trek communicator that dude off of ‘Reading Rainbow’ used to carry around… but not as ugly..
Of course, I don’t feel like paying for and breaking another AT&T contract, so this time I think I will fly to Hong Kong on June 19th to pick one up unlocked and tax free.
Now what should I do with my old one?
